Coil Pot

This is my first coil pot. It took me a few tries because the first ones I made unraveled. I learned to slip and score this one and decided to keep the design simple. I wanted an even round shape with a smooth inside and base. I blended the inside of the bowl with my fingers. I wanted to keep the outside coiled for decorative purposes and to show the construction of the bowl. This project taught me how to work with coils. I now feel I understand how to work with them and could make larger, more intricate pieces using this method. I am thinking about using a metallic glaze.
